Using Chirp
These terms govern access to Chirp. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your login credentials, and activity performed through your account.
Acceptable use
You may not use Chirp to break the law, harm others, interfere with the service, access another person's account without permission, or abuse connected third-party services.
Connected services
Third-party integrations are optional. Their own terms and privacy policies also apply. You are responsible for approving only the permissions you intend to grant.
Text messaging program
Users may opt in to Chirp AI SMS/MMS by texting START to the phone number published on Chirp's public SMS enrollment page. Messages may include conversational replies, requested reminders and follow-ups, account and service notifications, and proactive check-ins enabled by the user. Unlinked numbers may use up to five free AI messages per day. Connecting a verified phone to an account enables account memory and other account-specific features.
Message frequency varies based on user activity, settings, reminders, and requested features. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
Discord bot access
Users may message Chirp through direct messages, supported application commands, or normal messages in the configured chat-with-chirp server channel. Unlinked Discord users receive a limited daily guest allowance. Connecting Discord to a verified Chirp account enables shared account memory and other account-specific features. Server administrators control where the bot may be installed and used. Discord's own terms also apply.
AI-generated information
Chirp may provide AI-generated summaries, suggestions, reminders, and responses. These outputs may be incomplete or incorrect and should be reviewed before important decisions or actions.
Not emergency or professional advice
Chirp is not an emergency service and does not replace medical, legal, financial, or other licensed professional advice.
Availability
Chirp may change, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features. Beta features may be unavailable or behave unexpectedly.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Chirp the limited permission necessary to store, process, and display that content to operate the service.
Termination
Accounts may be suspended or terminated for serious misuse, security threats, or violations of these terms. Users may stop using Chirp and request account deletion.
Disclaimer
Chirp is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, no guarantee is made that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.
Changes
These terms may be updated as Chirp changes. Material revisions will be posted here with an updated effective date.
